Bronze Sculpture:- By Oscar Nemon

Oscar Nemon sculptured very many Churchill pieces,including the one inside the House of parliament. The photographs shown below are a very small collection of his work.

1 1/2 life size bronze of "Lady and Winston Churchill" :-Location at his Ancestral home. (Mrs Thatcher is real)

9ft bronze cast Basingstoke:- Location Namur Belgium.The graffiti appeared the morning after installation.

"Thomas Moore"One ton Bronze:-Sculpted by Cubit Bevis:-.  The hands face and medal are gold leaf:- Cast by Morris Singer Foundry Basingstoke:-Location:- Chelsea Cheyne Walk.

"St.Micheal and the Devil" 7 ton bronze by Jacob Epstein:-Cast by Morris Singer Dorset Road Lambeth, Location Coventry Cathedral.

 

 

 A very large bronze by an Icelandic sculptor cast as a tribute to fishermen who lost there lives at sea from a small northern Iclandic village. The bronze weight is approximately 5 tons, to give an idea of scale the height of the standing figure is 13 feet from the bottom of the boat to the tip of the finger.Cast at Burleighfield arts loudwater High Wycombe.

 

"Desert Quartet 111"  By Dame Elisabeth Frink. This is a very large bronze head around 1/4 ton. (Tends to frighten the kids) Cast at Burleighfield Loudwater High Wycombe 1990. Location Worthing.

 2 1/2 ton bronze sculpted by a young telented female Scottish sculptor with funds raised by the families who lost there loved ones on the oil platform in  the North Sea. Cast at Burleighfield Loudwater.

 "Compass Water feature" 3/4 ton bronze, Location Surrey Quays London Docklands.

 

1 ton Bronze "Monk on Horse" By David Backhouse, Location Bristol. Cast at Burleighfield Arts Loudwater high Wycombe. The sculpture has a local story of why it is there, but it has slipped from my memory. Local graffiti artist left their mark by writing on the rump "Please open other end".
